Nice Civil War Cap Hat Tall Kepi W InsigniaOffered here si a civil war era kepi. Deep blue wool with small leather visor overall the piece is quite nice, no real damage to speak of to the main body other than some moth nips and the absence of buttons and chin strap. The liner is frayed abit but intact and still decent. The leather visor is intact and veyr stable. The leather sweatband is mostly gone, what does remain ir stiff and dried. The top has brass insignia applied, 3 1/2 bugle and5/8 2, with loops protruding into the inside and leather strap holding them in place. Tall type cap measuring 4 1/2 from the visor up the front seam, and almost 6 down the rear seam. A very neet and interesting example. |
