Civil War Original Infantry Officers Embroid Insignia

This is an original civil war (possibly pre-civil war) army infantry officer's embroidered hat or kepi insignia. It is embroidered with metallic thread and highlighted with small disks. There is brass number 6 backed by infantry blue cloth.

It measures 3 (diagonally form bell tip to mouthpiece) x 1 3/4 high. It has nicely mellowed with age. This insignia is ni excellent condition and display a+++. No exceptions, so please do not ask.
