British Cavalry Albert Pattern Light Dragoons Officers ShakoA crimean war era albert pattern officers shako of the british cavalry. It is a foul wetaher shako and thus used in inhospitable climes, of which there were plenty in the crimea. It is constructed from oiled silk and is extermely light as a consequence. Teh rim around the opening is velvet, and the interior is silk, and it is present but requires attention. The brass chinchain is all complete as well. It includes its original storage tin, constructed from tin with a laquered interior. This is an extremely rare piece of headgear. And as with everything we sell, guaranteed genuine and original.
