1870 S Military Epaulettes

This is a set of original, antique american military epaulettes (shoulder regalia) from the 1870's. Both have buttons featuring the american eagle emblme and metal plates on the inside that read pat'd sept. They are complete, in good condition, with beautiful gold detailing. They come in a metal box designed to carry epaulettes and probably also dating from the same period. They probably would have been worn by navy officers during the civil war.
